2022-2023 SKATING RINK UPDATE

We were informed by the City late last week that they will not be installing our skating rink for the upcoming season. This is a result of the delayed work with the landscaping contractors who now won't warranty the recently laid sod with rink infrastructure placed on top of it.

All communication from the City with LPCA and the rink manager up until this point had been confirmation that our 2022-2023 rink season would not be impacted. We recognize that this news will be very disappointing to many, many residents of Leslie Park and surrounding neighbourhoods. We are meeting this week to make decisions on upcoming events. The construction project is delayed again until Nov 18 and there are these warranty concerns that will impact holding an event until December.
